GOODWILL TRAINING ACADEMY
Occupying approximately 2,500 square feet of space on the second floor of the Goodwill of Southern Nevada corporate headquarters, the Goodwill Training Academy’s four dedicated spaces are designed to sustain dynamic workforce training programs and support advancement toward careers with family-sustaining wages and an upward trajectory.
Professional Skills Lab
Outfitted with large screens for lectures and presentations, this state-of-the-art learning space will be optimized for professional and digital skills training. The room's open floor plan and modular furniture are conducive to learning both in a large group (up to 20) and smaller groups. Such adaptability makes for a premier regional employment training location.
Healthcare Skills Lab
Five state-of-the-art patient care stations enable 90-Day MA students to learn and practice their new skills in a clinical setting. Each Healthcare Skills Lab station will be equipped with a hospital bed and equipment for hands-on training for CNA and MA participants.
Workshop Room
This space will be used to administering employer- or sector-specific assessments, gauging work-readiness, and proctoring digital skills proficiency exams with groups of up to four participants. The space will also be conducive to skills training.
Reception/Office Area
A welcoming reception area and three offices will be occupied by eight Goodwill Train-to-Hire team members, with all spaces suitable for meeting with and coaching participants.
Cohort Lounge
In between sessions, participants will network, socialize, and reenergize in a quality environment that fuels our participants’ career pursuits.
