Sheree Cunningham
Chief Human Resources Officer
Sheree Cunningham is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Goodwill of Southern Nevada. In her role, she supports the organization’s mission and strategic direction through comprehensive leadership in all people areas including succession planning, talent and change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, communication, and compensation.
Previously, Sheree served as Senior Human Resources Director for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), where she implemented technology and innovative processes to promote organizational efficiencies, cost-effectiveness, productivity, and cultural awareness. Her visionary advances enabled LVCVA to utilize competency-driven job descriptions, leading to improved performance management, position-linked learning and development, and a streamlined paperless system.
Sheree began her career at Boyd Gaming, where she served as Director of Human Resources. Over the course of nearly 25 years at Boyd, Sheree created and implemented programs positively affecting culture, talent acquisition, retention, employee engagement, communications, and leadership development. She introduced eLearning to two dozen casinos throughout Clark County and was responsible for the company’s employee relations functions.
Being a native of Las Vegas, Sheree has witnessed the remarkable growth and transformation of the region. In her spare time, Sheree likes to spend time with her husband of 40 years, her two kids, and her dogs, and enjoys swimming and other forms of physical fitness.
