3rd Annual Christmas in July Shopping Spree Delights North Las Vegas Community
 
North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown, first responders, and 100 families served by area nonprofits were welcomed at the Goodwill Lake Mead Thrift Store at the third annual Christmas in July Shopping Spree. Kids and families served by Children’s Advocacy Alliance, Foster Kinship, and Helping Hands of Vegas Valley each received a $100 Goodwill gift card for their mid-year holiday themed shopping experience.
 

Goodwill supported Jocelin's path to a dream career.

Jocelin was eager to provide for her child and enter the medical field as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), but the cost of training felt like an insurmountable barrier. Thanks to Goodwill’s comprehensive framework—career coaching, cohort-style training, Thrive career readiness workshops, and financial assistance—Jocelin earned her CNA license, gained immediate employment at an acute care hospital, and began a fulfilling career as a medical professional. Summer Education Experience Class of 2023 

The Goodwill Summer Education Experience (SEE) held a graduation ceremony to congratulate participants on a job well done. Over the course of five weeks, special education students toured O at Bellagio and enjoyed the Van Gogh Immersive Experience, art and robotics classes, and on-the-job experience at Goodwill thrift stores. Learn more about Goodwill Disability Programs.
 
Bryan Fukuzawa was recently promoted to Senior Manager of Career Services, overseeing our team of career coaches based at Goodwill's Boulevard Mall and Rainbow Plaza career centers. Bryan joined Goodwill in 2011 as a career coach, a field to which he has devoted his own career path. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration as he bridged his collegiate track career at the University of Toledo and University of Akron.
 
Healthcare Trainees Graduate from 90-Day MA  

Goodwill presented certificates of completion to the fifth cohort of the 90-Day MA, an accelerated program to prepare and train candidates for medical assistant roles at Intermountain Health. A collaboration between Goodwill, NV Careers, and Intermountain Health, the twelve-week course utilizes Goodwill's Training Sprint methodology to accelerate the introduction of new healthcare professionals in the Las Vegas area. Learn more about Goodwill Train-to-Hire Programs.
