IT Professional Becomes a Certified Success

After losing his job in IT and encountering challenges around his hearing impairment, Taylor knew adding more certifications to his portfolio would be needed to move his career forward. However, his limited unemployment benefits made vocational skills training unaffordable.

Taylor enlisted the help of a Goodwill career coach, who worked with training provider New Horizons Computer Learning Centers to develop a plan that worked for him. Taylor not only earned certifications in three courses, but was also hired by Southern Nevada Health District while still in school. Taylor advanced quickly, earning multiple promotions within months.

“Goodwill provided me with the opportunity to learn more within my field,” said Taylor. “I was able to continue to support my family and learn skills that were necessary to advance my career.”
