MEDICAL ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM

The Goodwill Medical Assistant (MA) Training Program is an accelerated medical assistant training course developed to help alleviate the severe health care worker shortage in Southern Nevada. In this program participants learn how to become a medical assistant.

The MA program trains candidates who have a caring disposition, customer service orientation, and an interest in a professional healthcare career.

Program Eligibility

Financially disadvantaged Southern Nevada residents 18+ who are interested in a career in the medical field.

Program Components

Qualified candidates are required to participate in three program components:

  1. Completion of Goodwill’s professional skills workshops and employment-readiness assessments.

  2. Completion of the formal Medical Assistant Education Program.

Goodwill’s MA Training Program was developed to help alleviate the severe health care worker shortage in Southern Nevada and attract a diverse pool of community members eager to launch careers in healthcare.
