Goodwill of Southern Nevada Elevates Store Manager to Leadership Role
Tina Truncale, who started as a Goodwill volunteer, promoted to retail district director
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Dec. 19, 2022) – Goodwill of Southern Nevada (Goodwill®) is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Tina Truncale to district director. In her new role, Truncale supervises eight of the 17 Goodwill thrift stores serving the Las Vegas Valley, ensuring they reach monthly budget goals, follow all operational processes, and are set to company standards to sustain the organization’s programs of service.
Since joining Goodwill in 2010 as a career services volunteer for 25 hours a week as a condition of receiving welfare benefits, Tina has distinguished herself by carrying responsibilities in many areas of the organization. In addition to supporting Career Services clients with resume development, Tina has supported Goodwill disability programs including Community Based Training and the Student Work Experience Program; worked in most Goodwill stores in the Las Vegas Valley; helped set up the store in outlying Pahrump; and served as a store manager.
“Goodwill is pleased to recognize Tina’s dedication to Goodwill and expansive knowledge of the organization’s operations,” said John Stoddard, chief operating officer at Goodwill. “Through her experience as a volunteer and working closely with participants in our programs of service, Tina brings a unique sensitivity to people with barriers to employment. This perspective has contributed greatly to her steady growth to a leadership role in the organization.”
Originally hailing from New York, Truncale moved to the Las Vegas Valley in 2000 and attended Mojave High School in North Las Vegas.
When she is not serving Goodwill’s mission, Tina enjoys hiking, listening to music, shopping, and spending time with her two daughters.
